Background of the Founder of JSCC


Joel Bainerman immigrated to Israel from Toronto, Canada in 1982. He is also the founder of "The Committee for Regional Government" www.azorim.org

In 1984 he was appointed managing editor of The Israel Economist and in 1989, the economics editor of The Jerusalem Post. He is the publisher of The Israel Technology Letter, on developments in the Israeli high tech economy, and Inside Israel, on Israeli and Middle East security and diplomatic affairs.

Joels articles and analyses have appeared in such publications as The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Euromoney, The Christian Science Monitor, The Washington Post, Global Finance, and Red Herring.

In late 1988 Mr. Bainerman became the first researcher to investigate the economic dimensions of the Middle East conflict and how economics impact on the political spheres of Israel's relations with the Palestinians and the Arab world.

In 1993 he published his first book, The Crimes of a President documenting the Bush and Reagan Administrations' Middle East policies. During the past twenty-five years he has lectured to audiences worldwide.
